Biographie-Magdalena Lewek
An Inner Calling
From an early age, Magdalena Lewek has been guided by a fundamental question: the meaning of life and the deeper nature of the human being.
This intimate inquiry quickly became an inner compass, gradually shaping her choices, her research, and her life path.
A Foundation in Care and Holistic Health
Born in Poland, she first turned toward nursing studies, guided by a natural sensitivity for care and attention to the human being.
Through this training, she was already seeking to understand life, health, and the mechanisms of human balance.
After completing her studies, she worked for several years in a natural medicine center, where she discovered healing approaches that consider the human being as a whole — body, mind, and energy.
The Encounter with Buddhism
This experience nourished and deepened her inner quest.
Little by little, her path led her to encounter Buddhism, whose philosophical depth and contemplative dimension resonated deeply within her.
Three-Year Retreat in the Shangpa Tradition
She then undertook the traditional three-year retreat in the Palden Shangpa tradition, a lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.
This retreat took place at the Buddhist center of La Boulaye, in the Morvan region of France, a place dedicated to the practice and transmission of this tradition.
At the end of these years of intensive practice and study of the Dharma, she became a lama within this spiritual lineage.
A Life Rooted in Practice
This period of retreat profoundly shaped her journey and opened a new chapter in her life, devoted to the practice of the Dharma and to the integration of spiritual teachings into everyday experience.
To this day, Magdalena remains deeply connected to this tradition and to the place where she completed her retreat.
She continues her study, meditation, and support of spiritual activities in a spirit of living practice and inner commitment.
Family Life as a Path of Learning
Alongside this spiritual path, Magdalena is also the mother of two children.
For her, family life is an equally profound space of learning, where spiritual teachings take form in the reality of everyday life — through relationships, listening, and responsibility toward life.
Ayurveda and Holistic Balance
Over the course of her journey, she also trained in Ayurveda, the traditional medicine of India, which offers a subtle understanding of the balance between body, mind, and consciousness.
For several years, she has accompanied people through this approach, helping them restore balance in their lives through nutrition, lifestyle practices, and a deeper understanding of their true nature.
An Integrative Vision of the Human Being
All of these experiences — spiritual, human, and therapeutic — have gradually nourished within her an integrative vision of the human being and of our relationship with the living world.
The Birth of Axis of the Heart
The creation of Axis of the Heart is part of this continuity.
Born from a meeting and a shared impulse with Oscar Cortes, this initiative seeks to open spaces for encounter, dialogue, and inner exploration.
A Space for Conscious Transformation
The intention is to support the awakening of consciousness, inner transformation, and a more conscious relationship between human beings, nature, and territories.
Through its activities, the association aspires to create living spaces where different spiritual, cultural, and artistic traditions can meet and enter into dialogue.
A Conscious Way of Inhabiting the World
In this spirit, Magdalena wishes to contribute to the emergence of spaces where each person can deepen their relationship with themselves, with others, and with the living world.
She also wishes to support places where the wisdom of traditions can inspire a more conscious way of inhabiting the world.
